OMG, these two presenters are shockingly terrible.
  • dealcorn - Thursday, June 20, 2013 - link

It would be nice if your software package had a button so the reader could reverse the sort order. The content is good but for those who miss the live, original edition, it is easier to read from top to bottom.

Ok so the Ativ 9 Plus is 13.3 inches? And the lite? I only wanted to know about if the 15" is getting a screen that is actually good! Kind of a lame reveal.

The Q is cool though, I wonder what kind of processor it has.

    i5 ulv
  • Mountainjoy - Thursday, June 20, 2013 - link

So does Windows 8.1 then have a scaling fix or is that 3200x1800 13.3 inch screen almost impossible to work on?
  • peterfares - Thursday, June 20, 2013 - link

I'm surprised that no one knows that Windows can scale since Vista.

3200x1800 works excellently because it is twice the width and height of 1600x900 (great for a 13.3") and at 200% it can pixel-double things which aren't DPI-aware (so things don't look like crap).
  • ShieTar - Friday, June 21, 2013 - link

Actually "working" on high-resolution screens hasn't been a problem since Windows XP. It's mostly games that refuse to support DPI scaling.
  • efeman - Thursday, June 20, 2013 - link

Could someone please explain to me why these kinds of displays are happening, yet us desktop enthusiasts are stuck with a stagnant monitor market (that has been so for years)? The R&D should be trickling... up... to us, shouldn't it?
  • peterfares - Thursday, June 20, 2013 - link

It doesn't even require R&D to make high resolution screens. The tech has existed for quite some time. The 1920x1200 15" laptop screens had way higher DPI than we have ever seen on a desktop.
