The Updated Tegra Roadmap: Kal-El+ in 2012, Wayne in Late 2012/Early 2013
by Anand Lal Shimpi on September 12, 2011 4:51 PM ESTLast week we confirmed NVIDIA would be introducing a Tegra SoC with integrated Icera baseband called Grey, but we got the timeframe down. Above you'll see the updated Tegra roadmap. Wayne has been pushed out to late 2012/early 2013 and there's now a Kal-El+ part that will refresh the lineup in the middle of next year. Grey will debut in 2013.
Also note that with Wayne, NVIDIA bifurcates the Tegra roadmap into a high end and a mainstream SoC. Wayne (and its derivatives) will continue to be two chip solutions with a discrete modem, while Grey will introduce single chip solutions with integrated Icera basebands.

Not before nvidia releases another roadmap with 2ghz octacore superclocked mega kal kryptonite el with mithril gpu inside. Then you will ask when can I buy my kryptonite tablet with mithril inside? This music will play forever.prdola0 - Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - link

Despite all the rumors of sept & oct releases, to me it's looking more and more like an end if year affair, at best. It makes sense, manufacturing might already be on the way buy the manufacturers would surely wanna wait for Google's end of year Ice Cream Sandwich release before refreshing their tablets. Who knows tho... I'm curious what will happen with pricing on Tegra 2 tablets once Kal El tablets start coming out.vision33r - Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - link
We will see tons of Nvidia's step up SOCs and not true innovations.Tegra 2 was a mediocre chip this gen.
