  Their recent qHD releases are pentile so it's a possibility that this one is too. It's probably more likely since it also has LTE so the power savings from the pentile display makes sense.
  
  LTE may be a bit power hungry but it isn't as bad as it was initially made out to be as my recent radio update for my Thunderbolt proves to me or the recent Galaxy Tab 10.1 review shows.
  
  Still, after all the waiting I would hope Motorola installed a better screen on it. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

  I got rid of my cell phone and I'm so happy. Paying $100.00 a month for internet, text messaging, and a limited amount of phone calls is such a a waste of money. I could put that $100 a month towards a little vacation every year, or fixing up my house, or buying something nice. Cell phones and cell phone companies are a rip off. Don't buy this garbage.

  I agree - the only reason I have a smartphone is that my work pays for it. They don't pay for my wife's phone, so she has a Virgin Mobile smartphone - $25/mo for "unlimited" text and data, and 300 minutes of talk time. I was lucky to get the LG Optimus V phone for $99 when it first came out.
  
  We are still throwing $40/mo away on a landline phone , so I plan on soon replacing that with Ooma for about $4 month.

  ^ Someone with a brain. Too many people out there throwing their money away on this worthless garbage which is what's pushing the price up more and more. It is also why the cell companies are offering less and charging more for it. And the stupid consumer keeps on supporting it.

  It all depends on how you look at it. First of all if you try to work your angles and deals you can get pricing alot better. I work with sprint. I grabbed my parents and put them on my family plan. We all pay less than $60 per month on average to use our phones as much as we want in any way possible and that includes insurance. We also all have top of the line modern smartphones epics and evos. In exchange for that we did not need to buy any GPS or update maps, we do not need tablets and we get to save money by purchasing desktops instead of laptops. We dropped the land lines and only use mobile phones. Anytime I goto a hotel I do not buy their garbage internet. Most people have a cell phone anyway so its not like $100 is the price just for data you still need to pay for the phone. We also save money and time, if I see a sale or want to know about prices I can look that up for products and gas, check out reviews in the store instead of buying something getting it home then hating it and needing to return it. The value of a phone with a data plan goes way beyond just the apparent cost. Sometimes you need to spend more to save more.
  
  Also while I do not fit in this catagory alot of people do very little on a computer other than email web surfing and facebook and all of those people could skip a computer altogether and not buy an internet connection at home. The only device they need is a smart phone with a data plan.
  
  These are the reason data plans are exploding in popularity not just because people are idiots. Alot of people think it through pretty carefully, other do not.

  I agree. I wouldn't have one if work didn't require me to and pay for it. Maybe I'd keep a tracfone in my car for emergencies but that's it.
