Hope you guys can bring back GPU reviews!

In any event, what we've seen from the RTX 4XXX launch hasn't looked promising, so hopefully AMD has more to offer!

They cant, the guys house burnt down in 2020. He's still living in a tent as we speak.
  • GeoffreyA - Thursday, November 3, 2022 - link

I hope they finish Nvidia. But I've got to admit, that catchphrase is very poor taste.

"That said, it’s also a holy grail because the immense amount of data that must be passed between different parts of a GPU (on the order of terabytes per second) is very hard to do – and very necessary to do if you want a multi-chip GPU to be able to present itself as a single device."

Passing only what's needed. Optical infinity fabrics. Greater push towards serialization to reduce I/O explosion.
  • SarahKerrigan - Thursday, November 3, 2022 - link

Rumor has been that the 7000 series still has only one GPU chip, but I/O has been moved to other dice. Given the issues with multi-GPU I find that very likely.
  • lmcd - Thursday, November 3, 2022 - link

The issues with multi-GPU mostly had to do with latency and memory access. Those can be solved when the two dies are right next to each other and use advanced interconnects. We now know that they didn't solve those issues, but that likely has to do with the product development cycle and not the feasibility.

355watts from two 150watt 8pins and 75w from pcie... so no overclocking?
  • MrRuckus - Thursday, November 3, 2022 - link

Board Partners could offer 3 8-pin. They sometimes differ from reference and go with more power.
  • shabby - Thursday, November 3, 2022 - link

Could, might... why doesn't amd's offer it though?
